The term "jacking method" refers to a method in which an underground tunnel-shaped hole is excavated. In this method, a large pit referred to as a shaft is dug, a boring machine that excavates a tunnel-shaped hole is installed inside the pit, a Hume concrete pipe is installed into a semi-shield machine that directly excavates the tunnel, and sewage equipment, optical fibers, and the like, are pushed through the earth by the driving force of a jack.

Mud mix

Mud mix plays the role of preventing the collapse of natural ground by enhancing mud film formation in the pressurized slurry jacking method, and is utilized for the purpose of "suppressing the collapse of natural ground" as well as "plastic fluidity," "cut-off performance," and "non-separation (a bridging effect)" in soil excavated inside a chamber in the pressurized mud jacking method and thick slurry jacking method.

Compaction type lubricant

This lubricant is injected into voids (tail voids) that occur between the Hume concrete pipe and natural ground during excavation, with two liquids - agents A and B - introduced prior to injection.

This lubricant is utilized for the purpose of suppressing the collapse of natural ground via an act of compaction while simultaneously decreasing friction.

Packing material

Packing material is a subsidiary effect material primarily used for "circulation loss prevention," packing the areas between natural ground particles, making it possible to reliably fill the core with mud mix.

Backfilling material

Backfilling material fills the core in void areas (tail voids) that occur between the Hume concrete pipe and natural ground after jacking, and is utilized for the purpose of preventing the loosening and collapse of natural ground.

Clay agent

While it is logically possible to execute excavation by injecting only water (H2O) in clay-rich ground, clay agent is utilized for the purpose of "suppressing adhesion = sensitivity, etc." and "suppressing the separation of water and mud caused by a high injection rate," based on each clay quality.
